Man kan ja von Wikileaks halten, was man will und ich werde hier auch keine Kommentare dazu abgeben. Dass sich allerdings Finanzkonzerne wie Visa und Master dazu erdreisten, selber zu entscheiden, wer Spenden entgegen nehmen darf und wer nicht, halte ich für höchst bedenklich (vgl. Kommentar auf sueddeutsche.de). Ich bin kein Endzeitprophet und will auch keiner werden, doch hier bahnen sich Entwicklungen an, deren Ende sich niemand vorzustellen wünscht: Wer ins System passt, ist geduldet, wer unbequem ist, wird gedörrt. Vielleicht liegt es an der Geschichte meines Heimatlandes, dass bei solchen Aktionen gleich meine Alarme zur erhöhten Wachsamkeit ausgelöst werden.
One might think of Wikileaks as he or she sees fit. I won’t comment on that. But the fact that credit card companies like Visa or Master dare to freeze or block donations to Wikileak – but not to other organizations like the KKK freaks me out. I am no doomsday prophet and will never be, but here I see problematic developments: those who fit in are tolerated, those who don’t or are inconvenient will be dried out. Maybe it’s because of the history of my home land that let my alarm bells ring to make me more alert.
