Mann, bin ich stolz! Letzten Samstag war ich auf einer Umzugsfeier eingeladen, etwa 40 Leute, sicher die Hälfte Schweden. Das an sich ist ja schon klasse. Und ich wusste, dass ein Geburtstagskind dabei war, also habe ich kurzerhand eine kleine Ansprache auf Schwedisch gehalten und die ganze Truppe dazu gebracht, ein schwedisches Geburtstagslied zu schmettern… Das alles wäre nur halb so schön gewesen, wenn der Gastgeber nicht eine Stunde später zu mir gekommen wäre und sagte, es sei noch ein Geburtstagskind angekommen, und nun habe man noch eine Torte mit Kerzen zum Auspusten, ich müsse noch eine Rede halten. Das war ein kleiner richtig groβer Erfolg für mich!
Yeah! The other day I’ve been invited to a moving party, and I knew there was a birthday girl that evening, so I asked for attention and gave a little speech – på svenska! And I got the whole crowd to blare out a Swedish birthday song. But the best thing was as the host came up to me one hour later, saying, there has another birthday girl arrived, and now there is a special cake with candles prepared: “You need to give another talk!” That was a little huge success for me…
