In diesem Jahr hatte ich viele tolle Erfahrungen, Erinnerungen und Erlebnisse.
Zunächst lud Familie Schoklitsch unsere ganze Familie im Februar nach Thailand ein. Es war wirklich großzügig von ihnen, uns für ca. 2 Wochen einzuladen und uns bei ihnen wohnen lassen. Für mich war es eine der besten Erfahrungen die ich bisher in meinem Leben hatte. Es war auch eine große Chance, dem kalten, grauen Winter in Schweden zu entkommen und stattdessen in der Sonne zu liegen, im Pool zu chillen und tropische Drinks, Obst und anderen Malzeiten zu genießen.
Etwa drei Monate später feierte mein Opa seinen 75. Geburtstag und lud die ganze Großfamilie in den Jagdhof Glashütte, einem wunderschönen Hotel im Sauerland ein. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass alle von uns mehr als nur eine tolle Zeit hatten. Das ganze Hotel war fast komplett für uns alleine zur Verfügung. Das heißt Swimmingpool, Sauna, Garten und wunderschöne Landschaft, die sich um das Hotel in alle Himmelsrichtungen ausbreitet. Außerdem gab es Spitzenessen, und ich glaube, dass ich dort einige der besten Abendessen meines Lebens hatte.
Kurz vor den Sommerferien ging meine Spanisch-Klasse auf eine Schüleraustauschreise nach Granada, Spanien. Jeder, der mitfahren wollte, lebte in einer Gastfamilie für 10 Tage, ging zur Schule, auf Ausflüge, und vieles andere. Es war für mich nicht nur eine tolle Erfahrung, in dem ich viel Neues über die Kultur Spaniens mitgekriegt habe, sondern ich habe auch in dieser Zeit meine Klassenkameraden näher kennenlernte. In jedem Fall war die Reise echt spitze, und ich würde sofort noch mal reisen.
Während der Sommerferien haben mich meine Großeltern noch einmal zu etwas eingeladen. Diesmal sollte nicht die ganze Familie kommen, sondern nur ich: ich sollte nämlich für sie arbeiten. Sämtliches Holz rund ums Haus war erst zu schleifen und dann neu zu streichen! Ich arbeitete für 3 Wochen, 3 bis 6 Stunden am Tag! Aber Opa hat gut gezahlt und am Ende konnte ich mir meinen lang ersehnten Laptop endlich leisten. Aber ich war nicht nur zum arbeiten da. Ich war mit Oma in der Stadt, saß im Restaurant „Schwarzenberger Hof“ bei super Essen oder genoss (fast ebenso gutes) Essen bei Oma und Opa im Esszimmer.
Der Rest des Jahres war im Gegensatz zur ersten Hälfte nur langweilig. Morgens aufstehen, Schule, Hausaufgaben, schlafen. Viel Arbeit, wenig Spaß. Das ist wohl normal wenn man in einer Internationalen Schule in die 9. Klasse geht. Irgendwann hatten wir wohl auch Herbstferien, aber die bestanden wahrscheinlich so um die 133% aus schlafen und ich erinnere mich an nichts mehr. Na ja, ich hatte es nach so viel arbeiten auch verdient, oder?!
Und jetzt sind Weihnachtsferien!!! Die Schule ist vorbei, alles ist weiß und mit Schnee bedeckt, und Weihnachten kommt jeden Tag näher und näher. Die trüben Tage sind vorbei, unsere Oma ist zu Besuch und sie wird die ganzen Weihnachtsferien bei uns wohnen. Ich bin 100% sicher, dass es in den nächsten Wochen viel Spaß und Abenteuer geben wird.

During this year I have been fortunate to have had many great experiences, memories and adventures.
Firstly, family Schoklitsch invited our whole family to Thailand in February. It was a really generous of them to invite, and have us at their place for about 2 weeks, and for me it was one of the best experiences I have had in my life so far. It was also a great opportunity to escape the cold, gray winter in Sweden and instead lie in the sun, chill in the pool and enjoy great tropical drinks, fruits and other foods.
About three months later my Grandpa celebrated his 75th birthday, and invited the whole family; this including my aunts, uncles and cousins as well to a beautiful hotel in Germany called “Jagdhof Glashütte”. All of us had a wonderful time there. We had the whole hotel almost entirely to ourselves, with a swimming pool, sauna, and beautiful back garden, as the surrounding forests and nature. Personally I feel like I had some of the best dinners of my life there.
Shortly before summer holiday, my Spanish class went on an exchange trip with Granada, south of Spain. Everyone that wanted could follow along to Spain, and live with a hosting family for 10 days. This was not only a great experience, with a lot of new knowledge and understanding of the Spanish culture, but I also felt like a got a lot closer to some of my friends that followed along as well. Either way you look at it, it was great fun, and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
During the summer holidays, my grandparents once again invited me to something. This time it wasn’t the whole family, but only me; I was to work for them, painting the wood around the house. I stayed there for about three weeks working between 3 to 6 hours each day. But my visit wasn’t only about working! When I wasn’t working, I was either out in the city totally blessed with gifts as me and my grandma walked from shop to shop, or eating the finest foods either in “Schwarzenberger Hof” a great restaurant we often go to, or eating almost as fine food cooked by my grandpa himself.
The rest of the year was mainly every-day-living; I got up, went to school, came back from school, did my homework, ate dinner, and went back to bed, or in other words, much work, little fun. I guess that’s just the way it is in 9th grade. At some point we had autumn break, but nothing special happened there, and we more or less went straight back to the every-day-living we were in before.
So here we are now, school is over, everything is white and covered with snow, and Christmas is coming closer and closer every day. But dull days are over; our grandma is visiting and she’ll be staying for both Christmas and New Year. She arrived yesterday, so I don’t have much to say yet, but I am 100% certain that the next weeks will be lots of fun, and new adventures.

Für mich war dieses Jahr sehr gut. Das Ganze fing damit an, dass wir für 2½ Wochen nach Thailand geflogen sind. Thailand war super für mich, weil es das erste Mal außerhalb Europas war , und das erste Mal in den Tropen. Nach Thailand, irgendwann im April, sind wir nach Glashütte gefaren. Da hatte ich ein paar wunderbare Tage mit abhängen and essen. Der Sommer war dieses Jahr nicht so stressig wie die letzten Male, weil wir nicht bis ganz in den Süden gefahren sind. Zum Glück hat es in diesen Herbst nicht so geschüttet, aber es hat früh angefangen zu schneien. Den Winter den ich dieses Jahr erlebe, könnte der beste meines Leben werden. Insgesamt war 2010 ein super Jahr. Ich wünsche Euch allen ein super Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!

I think that I had a wonderful, and exciting year 2010. The whole thing started with the fact that we were going to Thailand in February. Thailand was awesome, it was the first time in a tropical country, in fact, it was the first time I was outside of Europe! I loved everything there, mostly the nature and animals. Basically, right after Thailand we went to a hotel called Glasshütte, where we all had a wonderful time of chilling ’n‘ eating. For a change, the summer wasn’t as stressful as the last years, because we didn’t go all the way to the South. It was over too quick though. But usually that is a sign that I was enjoying it. Luckily, here in Sweden we didn’t have the typical rainy autumn, when it rains 24/7, but the winter started early. I am very grateful for that! We had 20cm of snow and more since the middle of November (it seems), so I can’t complain. I wish everyone who’s is readying this a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Das Schönste!
Ich fand, das Schönste in diesem Jahr war CONNECT, die CA Staff Conference. Warum? Tja, weil alles cool war und ich alles cool fand. Alles war Spitze! Das Kinderprogramm, die Leute, das Essen aber ganz besonders meine Freunde und mit denen abzuhängen! Hier ist ein Foto:
Und dann mit denen in den Swimmingpool zu gehen, das war das Allerbeste! Außerdem fand ich es auch in THAILAND supergut! Warum? Ach, das hat viele Gründe! Es war nämlich das erste Mal, wo ich außerhalb Europas war, weil ich in den Tropen war, weil das Meer sooooooooo türkis war, weil es so warm war, weil mich ein Elefant mit den Rüssel hochgehoben hat und weil alles sooooooo bunt war! Es war einfach Spitze!
Und das Dritte, was ich cool in diesem Jahr fand, war Hotel Glashütte! Das war schön! Da war ich mit meinen 2 Onkeln und Tanten, 2 Cousins, 1 Cousine, Oma und Opa (die Eltern von meiner Mutter) und meine ganze Familie sogar unser Hund Zera war mit. Es hat sich angefühlt, als wäre ich eine Prinzessin. Es war auch schön, dass wir jeden Tag schönes Wetter hatten. Schönes Wetter braucht man, finde ich zumindestens!

The Best!
I thought that the best in this year was CONNECT, the CA Staff Conferense. Why? Well, because everything was cool. The kids programm, the people the food but most of all my friends and hanging out with them! Here’s a photo:
And then going with them to the swimming pool that I tell you that was very best! Otherwise I also liked it in THAILAND! It was the first where: 1. I was out of Europe 2. I was in tropics 3. I never saw the ocean so turquise 4. It was warm 5. A elefant picked me up with its trunk and 6. It was so colorful! It was soooo awesome! And the 3 thing that i really liked in this year was Hotel Glashütte! It was ice! I was there with my 2 uncles and aunts, 3 cousins, grandparents (from mymothers side) and then with my family. Even the dog! It felt as if I were a princess. And also every day we had nice weather. Nice weather makes the whole vacation much better than it already, at least I think so!
